Are you hesitant to make the switch to an electric vehicle? Worried about their range? Charge times? Or even the expense of maintenance through main dealers? Well, when you do make the switch, you can rest assured that Marlow Tyres, along with Maidenhead Tyres and Autocare will already be qualified to help!
With an estimated volume of 11 million hybrid/electric vehicles due to be on our roads by 2030, the IMI predict that at least 90,000 qualified technicians will be required to meet the repair and maintenance demands. The IMI has forecast that by 2030 there will be a shortfall of 35,700 qualified technicians.
That’s why here at Marlow Tyres and Maidenhead Tyres and Autocare we are already improving our EV knowledge to cope with our customer’s needs. Several of our Service Technicians have attended certified courses so are now fully qualified up to level 3 in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement and by the end of summer will be fully qualified up to level 4. At present, only 5% of mechanics are qualified to work on electric/hybrid vehicles in the UK, therefore as a company we feel it’s important to get ahead of the game!
